Waffles

I created this piece in response to the prompt "narrative within a box." This piece is a reflection of relationships in my life and the connection between relationships and sharing a meal. This piece correlates the time necessary to make something for someone else to the time needed to cultivate a friendship.

Materials: 104 waffles, waffle mater, 10 ft of ribbon, 4' x 2' black wooden tray, cut paper name tags, black cloth, black stand

The Formula

I decided to go back to the basics and just use pencil for a change. It really helped me focus on drawing. Sometimes I get distracted by color that some of the drawing gets lost in the shuffle.
